The Enemy By Charlie Higson

This book is about a disease that makes all of the people over 18 turn in to zombies! The kids under 18 have to learn to survive and fight against the zombies or grown-ups as they call them. The kids first live in grocery stores for the food. They need weapons to kill the grown-ups, So they make these spears and clubs to fend off the grown-ups. They also block off the entrances to the stores so the grown-ups can't get in. If u are caught then the grown-ups will take you back to the place that they live and eat you alive!

The Lightning Thief by Rick Riordan

This book is about Greek Mythology in modern day, and how it effects the daily life of people called Half Bloods- half god and  half human.  The main characters are Percy Jackson, Annabeth, and Grover.  Some of the other characters train and prepare at Camp Half Blood.  Hades thinks that Percy stole his Helm of Shadows and Zeus thinks Percy stole his Master Lightning Bolt.  In the end, you will figure the true Lightning Thief's identity in this book of twists and turns and non stop page turner.
